Add VoLTE Feature in Non-VoLTE Mediatek OEM Custom Roms

So, Many users of custom roms users reported to have broken volte or volte not working while on roaming.
There was a workaround to turn off/on radio from engineering mode but it only lasted till a reboot.
After looking into the matter last night i found the feasible permanent solution for it. It'll be little long so bear with me.

After fiddling with every firmware and custom rom i found out the cause of volte breakdown was the IMS status being not registered for some reason. You guys can check in IMS status option in 3 dot menu inside the engineering mode(*#*#4636#*#*). IMS services are responsible for calling and sms services over lte network.

Soo, Here is Small tutorial for all peoples who are Custom Rom on their devices and facing VoLTE issue...
This method works in few mtk OEM Roms and not all.

Tested in:
Pixel Ui mm
Condor A8 stock rom

Method 1: (preferred)

1. Unpack the Rom
2. Do normal porting
3. Apply Volte patch1 and patch2 (no need of egl folders) {Replace those files inside patch from ur stock Rom}

Method 2: (not recommended sometimes cause  rom to become totally unstable or may not boot up)

Copy all “files” in bin, lib, lib64 and paste in respective Port rom folder but Don’t replace existing files. This is to add missing files responsible for VoLTE/network

Next apply patch 1 and 2, mentioned in Method 1

Buildprop:

1. Delete unnecessary lines like cdma in case your stock rom doesn’t have those lines
2. Add all lines related to ims and VoLTE from stock/any VoLTE rom

Bootimg:

1. Edit it as per stock/any VoLTE Rom’s bootimg
2. Add modem, VoLTE, mal files in case if its present in stock
3. Zip everything and flash the Rom
4. Let it bootup

ImsService app:

1. Make a flashable zip of ImsService in system/priv-app/ImsService from stock or any other Rom

2. Flash it after Roms boots up.

You may add it directly in Rom but some cases Rom will get stuck in bootanimation.

In case one ImsService app doesn’t work try replacing from different Roms

* Any Custom Recovery (CWM/CTR/Philz/Twrp/Etc)

 Guide :

2 :  Open “Android Image Studio” & Unpack Stock “boot.img” Using “Unpack/Mount” Option.

6 :  Now Delete This Unpacking Folder & Import This Same Unpacking Folder From Stock Folder.
* Split_img (Whole Folder)

7 :  Now Repack it Using “Repack” Option.

8 :  After Repacking Import “image-new.img” File Port Folder Under & This File is Your Ported New Recovery.img

-- There are multiple ways you can apply the new boot.img. The smartest way would be to use fastboot so that you may boot the image vice flashing it in case you screwed something up on your own accord. However, I personally will write the boot.img straight to the boot partition using dd, then I reboot the device. If you wish to do the same then that is fine.

-- Now you have your new Modded Boot Image. Enjoy, and as always... CLICK THANKS if this was helpful to you and....

--- Happy Porting!!!

How to Port Custom Rom For Spreadtrum SC7731/SC8830 Chipsets

Lots of users were asking me how they can make universal rom & port different roms for Spreadtrum Chipsets.
So here i m back with the ultimate guide for porting roms for Spreadtrum Chipsets.
So Lets Start with about SC6820/8810 Chipset

SC6820 is a cheap marketing chipset provided by Spreadtrum....
SC6820 is a such chipset which is not capable to power 3G,it comes with EDGE CLASS 12.....
SC8810 is also same as SC6820 the only difference is that sc8810 supports chinese forum of 3G(not for any other country)...
Most of the sc6820 is GB 2.3.5 powered by MocorDroid marked as fake 4.0 or 4.2 but still some of them are real ICS/JB....... the chipset supports 512mb ram max & it is come with single core CPU @ 1GHz & it can be overclock to 2.4GHz according to chinese developers.
SC6820 is chipset is much faster than other chipset though its drains battery like hell.....

Here i m going to share my trick how i port different roms in just few minutes.......
As sc6820/8810 is a chipset which have much similar specs with all the phones so the rom dont need much things to boot on any device
lets start

requirements:
1. 7zip archiver
2. android kitchen : See:  how to setup android kitchen
3. notepad++
4. brain

Note:-
1. You cant port roms from different chipset (Only Same chipset).
2. You cant port roms having different sdk version (eg. Gb to jb, its possible only through source codes ).

steps to do:

1. take any of stock stock based roms & extract it & name it "base"
2. take the rom which u want to port & extract it & name it "port"

3. Copy these files from stock to port

4. From  /system/bin folder copy these files

         /system/bin/akmd8975
         /system/bin/tc
         /system/bin/netd
         /system/bin/wpa_supplicant
         /system/bin/hciattach
         /system/bin/bluetoothd
         /system/bin/bccmd

5. From  /system/lib folder copy these files.

         /system/lib/hw (whole folder)
         /system/lib/modules (whole folder)
         /system/lib/egl (whole folder)
         /system/lib/libhardware.so

         /system/lib/libhardware_legacy.so
         /system/lib/libbluetooth.so
         /system/lib/libbluetoothd.so
         /system/lib/libbluedroid.so
         /system/lib/libctest.so
         /system/lib/libdbus.so
         /system/lib/libdiskconfig.so
         /system/lib/libeng_wifi_ptest.so
         /system/lib/libclient.so
         /system/lib/lisensorservice.so

6. from /system/etc/ folder copy these files.

         /system/etc/bluetooth  (whole folder)
         /system/etc/dhcpcd  (whole folder)
         /system/etc/firmware  (whole folder)
         /system/etc/wifi  (whole folder)
         /system/etc/handheld_core_hardware.xml  (from permissions)
         /system/etc/platform.xml  (from permissions)
         /system/etc/vold.fstab

7.  from /system folder copy these files.
          sps   (whole folder)
          usr   (whole folder)

8. now open build.prop of port rom & change device name, version to ur desired one
9. atlast take boot.img from ur stock rom....
10. now repack the rom in 7zip by selecting compression normal
11. You are done,it should boot now

I can not guaranty you that this method wil wirk 100% and i will not take any responsibility if anything goes wrong
