All Ok-Google Voice Commands In One Place: Complete List Of All Commands
Google Now can do some pretty fancy stuff, but one thing it sucks at is actually listing its own capabilities. Just like keyboard shortcuts, if you don’t know they exist, you can’t try and show them off to your friends.
Ok-google-io is a new site that keeps a complete, always-up-to-date list of Google voice commands. There’s 150 different commands, with over a thousand examples given. I had no idea even a tenth of these existed.
The site breaks down all commands by category, and shows them in context, in a neat list. Some of them, like “Turn on Bluetooth,” I already knew, but being able to say “take a selfie” (ugh!!) is legitimately useful, especially if you bought a knockoff selfie stick with a non-functional trigger.
The Ok-google.io owner turned up in a Reddit thread to share his motivation for making the site:
I was annoyed by the fact that every once in a while a new “complete list of Google Now commands” appears online, so I decided to create this project. After few days of research I found an extensive list of over 150 commands and 1000+ variations.I’ll try to keep it up to date, and in v2 I’ll add an easy way for the community to contribute. The project will be open sourced soon, but feel free to report any bugs or issues on GitHub right now.
The commands work on any Android or iOS device. On more recent Android devices, the AI can be activated just by saying “OK Google Now” OR “OK Google”. On iOS, you need to open the Google app and hit the mic button.
